Presenting: Skip the RFP: Unlock the Full Value of Cooperative Procurement

Mike Price is a Sourcing Consultant II with E&I Cooperative Services, the member-owned, non-profit purchasing cooperative serving education. As part of E&I’s Member Engagement Team, Mike partners with colleges and universities to help them strengthen their procurement strategies, reduce costs, and streamline sourcing through cooperative contracts. His work centers on helping institutions get the most value out of group purchasing—often without the time, expense, and administrative burden of going out to bid.

At CCBO, Mike will share the benefits of leveraging a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and how competitively solicited cooperative contracts can allow institutions to satisfy procurement requirements while avoiding the lengthy RFP process. Drawing on his experience working directly with member institutions, he’ll offer practical guidance for business officers looking to save time, ensure compliance, and redirect resources toward their core mission.

Mike is a graduate of Bethel University and is based in Waconia, Minnesota. Outside of work, he enjoys barbecuing, fishing, and spending time with his family. He and his wife, Kathy, are the proud parents of three children—David (23), Mikayla (20), and Alayna (16).
