Dr. Carmelitia J. Coleman has more than 25 years of experience across higher education and the corporate sector, serving in roles ranging from university administrator to consultant with a Big Four management firm. She currently serves as Senior Director of Culture, Engagement, and Talent Development for Illumia, a global higher education, healthcare, and corporate financial technology organization, where she provides strategic leadership in advancing client experience, employee engagement, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
Dr. Coleman has led large-scale operational initiatives, including the development of a national project management framework supporting electronic financial aid disbursement programs recognized for excellence. In addition to her professional leadership, she serves her community as Mayor Pro Tem and Town Commissioner, contributing to governance and public stewardship.
She holds degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and an EdD in Higher Education Leadership and Management from Walden University.
