SESSION PREVIEW: 2025 CCBO ANNUAL CONFERENCE
A Case Study in Transforming Student Services for Measurable Results
The 2025 CCBO Annual Conference will bring together business officers and higher education leaders from across the country to exchange ideas, sharpen strategies, and foster innovation. Among the conference highlights is the session “Student Success Begins at Hello,” which explores how one college transformed its approach to student services with measurable results.
Attendees will gain insights into how the college addressed service delivery challenges and the lasting impact of those changes on both staff and students. Presenters from the business office and enrollment management will share case study data detailing improvements in staff productivity, enrollment outcomes, revenue gains, and overall return on investment. The session will also provide a comparison of baseline data with results from Year One and Year Two of the project, offering attendees practical strategies they can consider for their own institutions.
The session will be presented by a team of leaders with expertise spanning enrollment, finance, and student support.
Judith B. Witherspoon, Senior Vice President and National Director of Sales and Marketing for Edamerica, brings more than 35 years of experience in higher education. Witherspoon has served as a community college career counselor and financial aid administrator, and has developed outreach initiatives that expand financial aid awareness for underserved populations. She was instrumental in creating eCampusTours.com, a website providing access to virtual college tours and financial aid information. Prior to joining Edamerica in 1993, she served as Assistant Financial Aid Director at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee.

Joining her from Jackson State Community College (JSCC) are Seth Harden, Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management, and Beth Baligrosky, Assistant Vice President of Financial Reporting. Harden oversees advising, recruitment, student life, and high school initiatives, as well as the college’s Strategic Enrollment Management Plan. His work focuses on aligning services that support enrollment growth and enhance the student experience. Baligrosky, who leads accounting, cash management, bursar functions, and sponsored programs, plays an active role in institutional leadership through service on multiple committees, including Conflict of Interest, Accessibility, the Strategic Enrollment Management Plan, and the Strategic Planning Committee.
Together, these presenters will provide a multifaceted perspective on how service delivery improvements can positively impact students, staff, and institutional outcomes.
