Dr. Bridgette N. Cofield, J.D., SPHR is an accomplished human resources executive with more than 25 years of experience spanning law, human resources leadership, and organizational management. She currently serves as Vice President for Talent and Culture at Frederick Community College, where she provides strategic leadership in developing and advancing initiatives that strengthen institutional culture, talent development, and organizational effectiveness. Dr. Cofield is widely recognized for her ability to deliver tailored strategic guidance and executive-level solutions for higher education institutions, businesses, and nonprofit organizations.

Dr. Cofield earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Memphis in 1994 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis School of Law in 1997. In 2002, she obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), a credential she continues to actively maintain while upholding the highest standards of human resources and strategic leadership excellence.

Deeply committed to civic engagement and community service, Dr. Cofield contributes her leadership to numerous organizations. She serves on the Governance Committee of Mercy Investment Services, Inc. and is a 35-year Silver Star member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She is a charter member of the Pittsburgh Steel City Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., where she holds several leadership roles, including Second Vice President, Sickle Cell Chair, Community Partnerships Chair, and Sergeant-at-Arms, and she currently serves as the Area V Community Partnerships Chair. Dr. Cofield also serves as Parliamentarian and Teen Advisor for the Western Maryland Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Her past leadership roles include President of the Ivy Charitable Endowment of Pittsburgh, Inc. (ICE), the nonprofit foundation established by the Alpha Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and President of the Pittsburgh Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
