Dear CCBO Members,
Happy New Year! As we begin this new chapter together, I am honored to serve as President of CCBO and to welcome you into a year focused on connection, collaboration, and practical insight for today’s community college leaders.
CCBO exists to support the finance and business officers who keep our institutions strong by providing education, timely information, and meaningful opportunities to learn from one another. As the landscape of higher education continues to evolve, our role as strategic partners on campus has never been more important.
This year presents real opportunities for our colleges. From navigating enrollment volatility and changing funding models to strengthening financial resilience through data-informed decision-making, cybersecurity preparedness, and responsible use of emerging technologies like AI in finance and operations, CCBO is committed to helping members stay ahead of the curve. We will continue to highlight best practices and conversations around compliance, risk management, workforce-aligned budgeting, and long-term sustainability, topics that directly impact our campuses and the students we serve.
I’m also excited to introduce and work alongside a strong and dedicated Board of Directors who stand ready to serve as a resource to you throughout the year:

Together, this group brings a broad range of experience and perspectives that strengthen CCBO’s leadership and service to our members.
I would also like to extend a sincere thank you to our past board members, with special appreciation to John Pitcher for his leadership and steady guidance during his term as President. Our association is stronger because of your service.
Looking ahead, we have much to be excited about, including our upcoming Annual Conference and Leadership Academy in New Orleans. These events will offer high-quality professional development, timely discussions, and the kind of networking that makes CCBO such a valuable community. We look forward to learning and connecting in a city known for its energy and hospitality.
As CCBO continues its work, we are also seeking members interested in serving on committees. Volunteering is a meaningful way to share your expertise, expand your professional network, and help shape the future of our association.
